Gerardo Alba was born in 1990 in Mexico City, Mexico. He studied Animation and Digital Art at the Tecnológico de Monterrey and has a Master in Sequential Art from Savannah College or Art and Design. Gerardo’s work ranges from journalism and non-fiction comics, working frequently for thenib.com, as well as fiction comics, some of which he has self-published through the micro-press he co-founded, Little Red Bird Press. In 2019 he completed an artistic residency in La Maison des Auteurs in Angoulême, France sponsored by the government of Mexico and the French Embassy. In 2017 he won the Young Creators grant from The National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA) in Mexico, through which he created a soon to be published graphic novel. He currently lives in Belmar, New Jersey with his wife and 2 cats.
